Spring is in the air! Flowers are in bloom, birds are chirping and the days are getting longer. And with Easter just around the corner we thought what better way to mark the season than a spring inspired wedding celebration. Lush flowers, soft palettes, and outdoor ceremonies are the perfect way to celebrate this gorgeous holiday!
Alright, all you love birds, here’s a fun Valentine’s Day shoot to inspire your own great day. Now Valentine’s Day can be celebrated with your special someone or a group of your closest girlfriends. We teamed up with the talented Erica B Photography and set the scene for a perfect girls-only gathering. Inspired by the beautiful runner, we pulled in shades of yellow, orange and forest green to compliment the more popular V-Day colors of ruby red and light pink. Add some simple refreshments and hors d’oeuvres… and Voilà, you have the perfect setting for a festive get together! Hope you make this Valentine’s a special one with your loved ones.
He just popped the question over the holidays and you said “Yes!” But before you go straight into wedding planning why not savor this moment and have an engagement party. An engagement party is a great time to celebrate and introduce key people from your lives. More couples are hosting their own parties these days. The party itself does not have to be over-the-top and should not upstage the wedding. And don’t worry if you haven’t settled on a color palette or don’t have a wedding date in mind yet. A low key gathering with simple decor and yummy appetizers are enough to get everyone excited for that BIG day to come! Here are some great ways to create a relaxed and festive party.
One of the reasons I love this time of the year is because I get to catch up on all the fun DIY projects that I’ve been holding off during the busy wedding season. These glitter snow globes are a great project that can be easily done all year round and used at your wedding. I chose an ornament reflective of the season but you can fill your jar with any non festive decoration that represents you as a couple. Try using different sized jars, mismatched glitter and even artificial foliage. Place them next you flower centerpiece or dessert table. Super cute!
In this season of giving, a lot of thought and time is put into finding the perfect gift for that special someone. However, a nicely packaged gift is sometimes a forgotten detail that can bring just as much joy as the gift itself. You can use almost anything for your gift wrapping from plain printer paper, foliage, lace, bakers twine, burlap…the possibilities are endless! Here are some ideas to inspire that extra special touch.
