Stefanie and Josh’s wedding took place on a warm, perfect fall evening at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa. This adorable couple who met at church envisioned their wedding to be a great celebration with all their loved ones, and they had an amazing community who all took part in their wedding. The bride’s sister helped with all the stationary and brought together their stunning palette of turquoise, pink and white. Their church choir sung like angels during their wedding ceremony and the reception was packed with performances from family and friends. We had never seen a more talented group! Even the groom’s sister sang a solo that was record label worth. And it’s obvious from this outpouring that their marriage will be filled with abundant laughter, happiness and love. Congratulations Josh and Stef!
Have you ever wondered how to get that vintage French look for your furniture and decor? Well, I recently discover this AMAZING paint called Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan, which can transform virtually anything into a vintage masterpiece. The texture has a matte, velvety finish resembling chalk (but is not chalkboard paint). It has gained worldwide popularity for its easy use and the fact you do not need any preparation. No stripping, sanding or priming is needed and the paint will adhere perfectly well to almost any surface including wood, glass, metal and plastic. The possibilities are not just limited to interiors but imagine transforming a beautiful frame or table centerpiece for your wedding or next event. Your guests will be so impressed when they find out you created these pieces. Check it out!
With tomorrow being Valentine’s Day, what better time than now to feature our most romantic wedding from last year. Just recently published on the popular Style Me Pretty blog, George and Joyce’s wedding was a wonderland filled with vibrant eye candy. Inspired by the shabby chic style, the couple handmade every detail from the invitations, sticker monograms and even lace chiffon backdrop. They incorporated old world charm with vintage trunks, milk glasses and tea cups while using bright colors of red, magenta, yellow and green. They even brought in their Asian roots treating guests to a mouthwatering menu which included Dim sum, Korean BBQ short ribs, a sushi station, and bubble tea. The day was a beautiful reflection of their fun, thoughtful and timeless relationship. Congratulations Joyce and George!
Our favorite holiday is just around the corner and what better way to the mark the season of love than with a beautiful Valentine’s Day wreath. Here are some ideas to get you in the romantic mood. How about a gorgeous and simple wreath made out of white burlap or tissue-paper pom poms. Or make a bold statement with a paper rose wreath made out red card stock. These ideas would also work perfectly as wedding day decor. The possibilities are endless and sure to bring love to your door.
The first time I met Ariel and Dennis, we had an instant connection. They’re the sweetest, most easygoing couple and not to mention we share a mutual love for cats (see their engagement shoot). The couple envisioned an intimate and simple wedding with their close family and friends. Since most of their family was coming from abroad, they thought what better way to thank them for coming than to treat them to the Californian coast. The Half Moon Bay Golf Links served as the perfect location and we chose soft palettes of blue and white to complement the beautiful scenery. The ceremony took place in the morning and guests enjoyed a reception lunch leaving the couple time to play in the ocean that afternoon. It was the perfect way to start their new lives together! Congratulations to my fellow feline lovers!
