Tammi and Mike’s Wedding: Villa Montalvo

November 12th, 2014 by Karen Pan | Comment

I’ve been blessed with the most amazing couples this year. One couple very dear to my heart is Tammi and Mike. They hired me after only a couple phone conversations and it was the perfect match. The couple chose to have their wedding at the magnificent Villa Montalvo in Saratoga. They wanted an intimate, fun gathering and chose bright shades of orange and blue to set the tone. The highlight of the day was when the couple rumbled in on Mike’s dad’s Shelby Cobra for their grand entrance and made their way up the Villa staircase. And I’ve never seen a couple more intentional about spending time with each of their guest. Their love for each other, life and all their family and friends was infectious! I feel truly blessed to be a part of it all. Congratulations Tammi and Mike! (more…)

Tiffany and Jimmy: Maitland Art Center

December 19th, 2013 by Karen Pan | Comment

Boy do I have a treat for you today! My adorable cousin Tiffany and her now husband Jimmy recently got married at the Maitland Art Center in Florida. As Virginian natives they wanted a destination wedding at the happiest place on earth Disney World with all their family and friends. This was perfect setting for these high school sweethearts who just love making each other laugh and being silly together. Their wedding ceremony had so many personal touches and guests were treated to food trucks plus a full weekend in the theme park. They were gracious to share their heartwarming video slideshow from Root Photography. And I also thought it would be fun for Tiffany to share what it was like to plan a destination wedding and give any advice for those of you who might be thinking of doing the same. Kamla and Ryan: The Fort Mason Center

Kamla and Ryan is that gorgeous couple that always makes your heart melt when you see them together. They wanted a homey setting for their wedding tucked in the urban city and instantly fell in love with the historic General’s Residence at the Fort Mason Center. Their ceremony was magical overlooking the water and Alcatraz island, under big oak trees. And I just loved Kamla’s cascading bouquet, silhouette gown and lace bridesmaids dresses. Guests were treated to two buffet options, southern BBQ in honor of the groom and Indian cuisine in honor of bride, and everyone danced the night away illuminated by the night sky. Couldn’t be more happy for such a perfect couple! Congratulations Kamla and Ryan! (more…)

Cat and Aaron: Thomas Fogart Winery

September 11th, 2013 by Karen Pan | Comment

Cat and I met back in college, and she is one of the sweetest and most thoughtful person I know. I was so happy to hear when she got engaged, and when I met Aaron I knew that Cat had found the perfect match who is equally as kind and gentle. The couple chose the beautiful backdrop at Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside for their wedding. They included whimsical patterns in grey, yellow and white which reflected their sense of style and personalities. My favorite touch was how they incorporated a “Better Together” theme where pairs of items are even better together than individually, resulting in details like tables named Wine & Cheese and Bees & Honey. They are the cutest couple and I’m so happy for their new life together. Congratulations my Bird and Elephant!

Seema and DJ: Los Altos History Museum

March 20th, 2013 by Karen Pan | Comment

Seema and DJ were such a fun couple to work with. They had their traditional Indian wedding celebration on Saturday and asked us to help them with their American-style wedding reception on Sunday at the Los Altos History Museum. The bride who is from Georgia wanted to incorporate rustic charm of the South like sweet breads, coke bottles and floating gardenias along with their Indian culture. Guest feasted on a buffet of Indian favorites and mouth-watering dessert display. Ever detail reflected the couple, and they even incorporated their love for cricket using the red balls as table numbers. It was beautiful evening full of bright colors, bold tastes and unforgettable memories. Congratulations Seema and DJ!
