Action Stations

I predict that the next big wedding trend will be action stations. Action stations are chef-manned stations that serve certain kinds of food at cocktail hours or buffet weddings. These are no longer just the traditional carving stations but creative options like an asian stir fry station where chef’s prepare your favorite stir fry from a selection of fresh ingredients. Or what about a pasta station or sushi and sashimi station where your guests can watch all the action. One of my favorites is the martini mashed potato bar where you can select toppings and garnishes on top of a scoop of mashed potato in a martini glass. A more cost-effective option is to have a self-serve station (without the chef attendant) like a gourmet deli station or smores station. In any case, these stations will add an interactive, fun touch to your wedding.
