Hanson and EunMi share the ultimate American success story. Shortly after they got married 4 years earlier in Vegas they decided to go into the restaurant business and started the now famous Cha Cha Sushi in San Jose. After much success and 2 beautiful kids the couple decided to renew their vows with almost 300 of the family and friends at the Ranch Golf Club in San Jose this past March. We had only 4 months to plan but just like everything they touch their big day was a huge hit! Their wedding was true celebration of their incredible journey, current successes and future adventures ahead. Congratulations to Hanson and EunMi!
The ombre effect has been hitting the wedding scene by storm and is now one of the hottest trends. Ombre is french for shaded and the effect refers to the romantic watercolor look when soft, pale hues gradually progress into full, vibrant shades. If you envision having a very chic and whimsy wedding, this multicolor gradient look is a perfect addition to your decor. It can be incorporated in just about any part of your wedding from the bridesmaids dresses to the centerpieces. Here are some great ideas to inspire your own ombre effect!
Ying and Chao hold a special place in my heart. They were actually good friends before they started dating and fell in love. When we met for the first time, they were in the early stages of planning and asked if I could help them plan their entire wedding. So for the next 9 months we spent a lot of time together visiting venues, meeting some of best vendors in the Bay Area and just hanging out. I was enchanted by their kindness and love for one another, and I wanted their wedding to be just as magical. The Westin St. Francis in San Francisco was perfect for their stars-in-the-sky themed wedding. The room sparkled and everyone was in awe of the beauty of the day. It was an such an honor to get to know such an amazing couple. Congratulations Ying and Chao!
With summer in full bloom, what better way to take advantage of the amazing Californian weather than to have lawn games at your wedding. Some game ideas include mini golf, horseshoes, bocci ball or even badminton. They are a great way to help your guests let their hair down, get to know one another and keep entertained during cocktail hour while you are getting your photos. They also make great photo ops with adorable signage and vintage game sets. Have fun!
Being asked to make a toast at a wedding can be a great honor but also a difficult task. After seeing so many toasts, those that have had some preparation definitely stand out and make a lasting impression. Here are some great tips for toasting from Southern Weddings Magazine for your next big moment.
