Ranunculus Heaven

My husband and I have been traveling a lot this past month, especially down in the Southern California. My favorite place that we visited by far was The Flower Field in Carlsbad, California. You must go if you have never been there before! Imagine 50 acres of colorful flowers blanketing the hill like a hand-crafted quilt. It’s absolutely breathtaking!

And if the sheer size is not enough, take a closer look and you will see that the field is composed of one of the most beautiful flowers: the Ranunculus.

The Ranunculus resembles the rose and peony with it’s densely petaled bloom but comes in a wider range of hues and is a more cost-effective alternative. The flowers last over a week after cut and looks beautiful in a tight, formal arrangement or loose in a clear vase. They can be used in a modern, romantic or classic themes. If you are planning a wedding anytime between December through May, consider this beautiful and versatile flower.
